Join us for a fun social event! This event will begin with a short, curated tour of some of Mead Botanical Gardens' most interesting plants. We will meet at the Gardens Discovery Barn, which will be our first tour stop! This Barn is home to twenty-five diverse, environmentally-friendly, drought-tolerant plant species. After this, we will walk through the nearby Legacy Garden, finishing our short tour at the Visitor's Pavilion. The walking tour portion is less than .2 miles and will familiarize you with some of the integral plants in Florida's ecosystem and leave you with an understanding of how they benefit our state.

At the Visitor's Pavilion, we will set up watercoloring stations on available picnic tables and reflect on the plants we observed and their role in Florida's ecosystem. We will provide printed reference photos of the plants featured in the tour that you can select to paint. We encourage all skill levels and hope for great company and conversation!

Watercoloring supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own materials if your prefer. We encourage RSVPs so we can bring appropriate supplies.
