What we’re about
The Sierra Club is the nation's oldest and largest grassroots environmental organization, with over 700,000 members nationwide. These individuals are using grassroots activism and community action to protect America's environment, for our families, for our future. We are part of the Florida Chapter of the National Sierra Club. Our group, the Central Florida Sierra Club, comprises over 2,100 members in Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola Counties. Our goal is to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth. Join our meetup to learn about the outings we go on and events that we do.
You do not need to be a Sierra Club member to attend our meetings or outings, but if you love what we do we would love your support. You can join on our website www.CentralFloridaSierra.org. Also, visit us on Facebook to learn more about what we do. http://www.facebook.com/CentralFLSierraClub

See all- Hop on the Bear Bus to Stop the HuntNeeds location
Next month, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is holding its final vote on a luxury black bear hunt for the elite – and we are mobilizing from across the state to shut it down for good.
Join us on August 13 in Havana, FL (near Tallahassee) as we pack the FWC meeting and send a loud, clear message: Stop the hunt, and protect our bears!
Free roundtrip charter bus transportation is offered from Orlando, with one stop in Gainesville and discounted hotel rates available. Please note that the date and time on Meetup is not representative of the full time commitment. Departure times for buses will be shared at a later date.
