Saturday walk 21st June . Blackstone Edge to Todmorden .

Bus no 576 at 09-04 from Bfd Interchange to Halifax bus station for bus no 587 ( Rochdale ) at 09-50 to Blackstone Edge .
Walk starts at 10-20 .

From interchange catch Bus 576 at 09-04 or 681 at 09-07 both arrive Halifax Bus Station at 09-42 for bus 587 at 09-50 Where Leader meets the group .
The walk starts at the White House Pub at 10-24 on arrival of Bus .
From start we follow the Pennine Way a short distance before dropping down to the village of Summit ' here a short ascend takes us to a track which we follow past Redyshore Scout & Allescholes . Here we steadily climb to wards White Slacks .
Table and chairs await us for lunch .The next area in the past known as Horsepastures .The farms now are all in ruins . We visit middle Ramsden and finally Inchfield . This is a wild but beautiful area below the moorland hills. Further on we cross Ragby bridge & up to a small settlement on Brown Road . A moorland path takes us Gorpley Res and Clough before crossing the Bacup Road .
A short climb for field paths and tracks takes us down to the canal and into Todmorden .
Walk finishes in Todmorden where there should be time for refreshments for those interested before your journeys home .
