Travel information / Bus no X63 at 09.08 From Bradford Interchange to Huddersfield for bus no 383 at 10.20 to Linthwaite ( Lees Mill Lane ) leader meets group at Huddersfield Bus Station.

We join the C.V circular where it crosses the A62 .
The walk takes us above the valley & Slaithwaite passing Piper Stones & eventually onto Butterley Reservoir . here we leave the C.V Circular to access the Stanedge Trail ..We now skirt round Pule Hill & down to the famouse Close Gate Bridge & Tunnel End .A short distance by the canel takes us into Marsden for refreshments of your choice .
If anyone prefers the walk can be shortened at Butterley res to approx 5 miles by taking the road a short distance into Marsden .
There are 3 bus services to Huddersfield for your bus to Bradford .If anyone prefers to use there car, park on the A62 near the start & after the walk catch the bus from Marsden back to your car .

NB It is very important that correct clothing is worn or carried on our walks, including waterproofs, woolly hats or sunhats, warm gloves and sturdy hiking boots, as we often walk on rough terrain. The walk leaders have the right to refuse to allow anybody not properly equipped to join the walk. Please come prepared. You will need a packed lunch and enough fluids, and you may need sun cream and insect repellent.
