Matlock Bath , Known as the "seaside town without the sea " because it as all the ingredient's of a traditional seaside resort with Amusement arcades , fish and chip shops , cafes and holiday makers despite being 100 miles from the coast Matlock Bath is situated in a scenic limestone gorge along the river Derwent , it was a popular spa town in the 17th and 18th centuries due to its natural warm springs , with attractions including The Heights of Abraham cable car , Aquarium and the Matlock bath illumination's attracting many to the village in the autumn months .
Matlock Bath is also very popular with Motor bikers on most Sundays as the bikers walk up and down the main street admiring each others bikes .
