**Pen-y-Ghent**
Settle to Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Distance 11.00 miles
Ascent : 2600 feet
The walk takes the route of ' A Pennine Journey 'from leaving Settle until we leave it when it drops down to Dub Cote and then to Horton in Ribblesdale . The route takes in Langcliffe & Lower Winskill and then has a steep descent as it descends via Stainforth Scar to Stainforth village .Excellent views over Ribblesdale towards the three peaks should be had on this section of the walk .Then we leave A Pennine Journey we will take in Gavel Rigg rather than Churn Milk Hole .From the Summit of Pen-y-ghent the main path down to Horton in Ribblesdale will be taken .If time permits we should be able to have refreshments at the New Inn.

Crummock Dale
Settle to Horton-in-Ribblesdale
Leader Margaret Newman
From Settle , we follow the Ribble way to Stackhouse .We next follow a Pennine Journey from Stackhouse to Feizor . We then take a path by the side of Feizer Wood to Wharfe , we head up Crummock Dale , climbing up to Moughton. We next head northwards to join the path from Ingleborough just below Sulber Nick . We follow this path down to Horton In Ribblesdale .

C Walk : easier
Stainforth to Horton-in Ribblesdale

Millage , approx 7 miles and 1076ft ascent
We start about 1 mile south of Stainforth and head north on a footpath taking us via Hoffman's Kiln ( or around it if you dont want to go in ) Please bring a torch .
From Stainforth we turn up hill on the Ribble way to Moor Head Lane where we turn left and follow Long Lane to Dub Cote and Dry Beck ,to cross river just above Crag Hill Farm and follow the river to Horton in Ribblesdale .
The route may be altered on the day depending on the weather .

D option : Do your own walk Finishing in Horton in Ribblesdale .
