We make a brief visit to the nearby Thornton Viaduct and then follow the line over the main road heading up past the White Horse Inn onto Bronte way west to Denholme Beck . We have a choice to go anti clockwise around Doe Park Reservoir or to follow the line more closely through what was the Station at Denholme . A little further on is Wilsden Station and Hewenden Reservoir . We can stop here for lunch as there are benches and viewpoints .We then traverse the magnificent Hewenden Viaduct and onto Cullingworth station over yet another viaduct.
Even though the line continues onto Keighley beyond Cullingworth it soon goes into a tunnel just beyond the beautiful Ellar carr area .
This is where we retrace our steps a little to return to Cullingworth centre where busses back to Thornton /Bradford leave from along with Bingley and Keighley bound busses .

The walk leaders have the right to refuse to allow anybody not properly equipped to join the walk. Please come prepared. You will need a packed lunch and enough fluids, and you may need sun cream and insect repellent.
