Please note that the number of members attending our Saturday walks is usually between 10 and 20 could be more could be less so the number attending on the day on Meetup is not relevant to numbers attending on the day , There is no charge on our Saturday walks .

Walk starts at 10 am . We take the canal towpath to Brookfoot where we cross the A6025 and follow the Calderdale way through Cromwell Wood Crossing Brookfoot lane we pass Pasture House and skirt round the quarry coming out on Walter Clough Lane Passing Ivy House we follow field paths through to Marsh Farm from where Marsh Delves Lane leads us to a footpath taking us onto Long lane . Cutting through the playing field we pick up the pathway to Beacon Hill from where , weather permitting , we should have good views of Halifax .There is then a choice of routes into the town centre .Decision to be made on the day according to conditions underfoot .
