Down by the Wharfe

Please note the number of members attending our Saturday walks is usually between 10 and 20 ( The number of members attending on the day on Meetup is not relevant to numbers walking on the day as a lot of our established members do not use Meetup .

**Down by the Wharfe **
Menston to Ilkley
It should really be called Down to the Wharfe, not 'by' it- 7-8 miles with a few gradual uphills on the way. Menston-Moss Brook-Burley in Wharfedale (lunch on The Lawn, lots of seats)-Ben Rhydding- riverside-Ilkley.
Mixture of sylvan tracks (muddy), field paths (a bit wet), and fairly urban tourist walks (surfaced).
If it gets too long , other railway stations are available en route.
