A: Rudland Rigg Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge to Hutton-le-Hole. Leader: Richard Scullion.
13miles , 1400 feet of ascent. 424 metres 21km ascent.
The A walk leaves the Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge and immediately we are blessed with beautiful vistas to the west. We follow the disused railway track as it winds north and west offering great views all the time. We then drop sharply down into the valley and rise back up again onto Rudland Rigg. Here we head south again with wonderful views. We then drop down again into Farndale where hopefully, the daffodils still look close to their best. We move on to Hutton le Hole at the point where Farndale meets the road.

B: Farndale Daffodils Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge to Hutton-le-Hole. Leader: Jackie Wilkes.
9 miles 700 feet of ascent.
After a scenic coach ride, we alight at The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, on Farndale Moor. A steep moorland track takes us down into the very small village of Church Houses where we may stop for lunch if we haven’t already. Then, we follow the hordes on the marked ‘Daffodil Trail’ for a couple of miles to Low Mill- toilets! Ice cream!!- and escape down the beautiful valley on tracks and woodland paths until we finish at the very picturesque valley of Hutton-le-Hole.
The daffodils are reputed to have been planted centuries ago by the monks of Rievaulx Abbey and I think they should be still in flower, as the volunteer ‘staff’ don’t give up until the week after our visit.

C: Tabular Hills Moorland Path: Hutton-le-Hole circular. Leader: Rita Schofield.
We head Northwest from Hutton le Hole on the Tabular Hills Path towards Gillamoor, passing a fantastic viewpoint. From Gillamoor, we go on Woodhead Field Lane, joining a track along the edge of the woods and leading to a footbridge across the River Dove. We then cross Hutton Common and Yoadwath Villa, going past the quarries to Oxclose Lane, which takes us back into Hutton le Hole.
The walk is 6 miles long with 800 feet total climbing and 800 feet of descent, all done at C pace.

D: Do your own walk or spend the day in Hutton-le-Hole. Hutton le Hole is a lovely village with a museum, visitor centre and cafes and pubs. It is easy to find short walks along local lanes and Paths.
