In the past two centuries, various societies and cultures have experienced improvements in their standard of living due to major scientific and technological advancements that have created greater social and economic benefits for millions around the world. Despite the benefits of scientific and technological advancements, there exist various societies and cultures around the world have yet to benefit from the scientific and technological revolutions that have created improved health conditions, and greater social, political and economic mobility for the citizens of those societies and cultures. Even in highly economically developed and advanced societies, we have yet to fully explore the full potential of science and technology to eliminate social, political and economic inequities that undermine the inalienable rights of its citizens. Join us as we discuss how we as global citizens can utilize and leverage science and technology to improve local and global communities.
