[NYC] Intro to Pickleball: Learn the Basics, Play Real Games
Details
Join us for a beginner pickleball session, taught by experienced coaches who will take you from basics to real games.
This next chapter is all about making time for the things you've been curious about, and pickleball has been on many of our members' lists. Whether you've never held a paddle or you've been meaning to try, this session is designed for you.
What to expect: The 2 hour indoor session will cover rules, scoring, covering the basics (dinking, volleying, serving), live ball (ball in play and players play out points), then real games!
No experience necessary. Paddles and balls are provided, so just come in comfortable clothes and sneakers.
Please note: There's a $10 reservation fee for this event. With limited spots and coaches committed to the session, it helps us make sure everyone who signs up shows up ready to play.

About our coaches
Coach Gracie is an NYC-based pickleball player and coach who has taught players of all ages and levels across the city. She previously served as head of program advancement for the National Women's Pickleball Foundation, and yes, she even wrote her graduate thesis on pickleball.
Coach Santiago has been playing pickleball for over two years and tennis since he was five. His coaching philosophy: every mistake is an opportunity. Fun fact: thanks to his AMC movie pass, he never misses the newest release on the big screen.
This event is hosted in partnership with Conquer Pickleball, which brings pickleball programming to courts across New York City, from open play and clinics to youth programs introducing the next generation to the sport. Conquer is proudly sponsored by the Brooklyn Pickleball Team and Major League Pickleball.
