Hello music lovers and Vinyl heads. This will be our 2nd event and will be at the same location as last time.
For those not familiar with this group, I created it because it was something I was looking for on Meetup that did not exist in Charleston.
I think it is both genuine and enriching to share and listen to music with others.
The point of this group is to do just that but specifically on vinyl. There is something about bringing over a record to a friend’s house and listening to the whole album together while having a drink and talking.
What to expect: Great music and conversation. Dont be suprised if you make a new friend and discover new music. The location is at my residence as I have the equipment to play the records. While the emphasis is on listening to music on vinyl, there will be some social drinking involved but do not feel obligated to do so. Some people are naturally able to loosen up and some of us need a sip to get into the zone.
What to bring: bring your own records. Bring something to play for us that you are passionate about. Bring something you just picked up and want to play for the first time, bring whatever you want really. Maybe some of you have some records but don’t have the means to play them on your own, that’s what this group is for. I can give you some pointers on what equipment to buy and how to set it up if you would like.
There is no judgment or restriction on what we listen to as long as it’s in good shape to play.
If you don’t have any records and just want to check us out, come as you are! I have plenty of music to look through.
If you choose to drink, please bring your own beverages though.
If you would like to bring a guest just let me know so I can have a headcount. If possible I would ask for you to have them sign up on the app and RSVP if possible. (Not required).
