Community Read: Sing Loud and Proud
Details
Join Charlotte's LGBTQIA+ non-auditioned One Voice Chorus for Sing Loud and Proud, a community-centered performance celebrating courage, identity, and belonging. Inspired by the themes of this year’s Community Read selection, The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, the program features uplifting songs from pop, Broadway, and queer choral traditions.
All ages are welcome, but please note that this performance contains mature themes. To register, go here.
About Community Read
Community Read is Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s annual, community-wide book club—an invitation to connect through a shared story. Each year’s book selection inspires programs, community conversations, and events that explore timely and meaningful themes. This year’s title The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune explores themes of found family, belonging, and self-acceptance. Please join us at programs and events all month long and pick up your free copy at any Charlotte Mecklenburg Library location, while supplies last. Learn more at cmlibrary.org/community-read
