Urban Sketchlenburg: Urban Sketching Workshop
Details
Discover the art of capturing the world around you in this engaging Urban Sketching Workshop designed for teens (16+) and adults. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on session introduces the fundamentals of sketching from life in a relaxed, supportive environment. You’ll explore essential techniques such as observation, line work, and composition, while learning how to bring your drawings to life with perspective and depth. Through guided exercises, you’ll practice sketching real spaces and scenes, building confidence in your ability to interpret and record everyday surroundings. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stronger foundation in urban sketching and a fresh way of seeing the world through your sketchbook.
The workshop is led by Eliza Dunaway, a Charlotte-based artist and avid urban sketcher, who brings her passion for drawing on location and keen eye for everyday details to each session.
