What we’re about
The purpose of the group is to have fun while improving our skills at playing ukulele. The group is open to all skill levels and there should be something for everyone. Our playout sets are found on ukeeducation.org under lead sheets. We're currently meeting at Meadows Presbyterian Church on the 4th Thursday of each month.

See all- May CUUL JamMeadows Presbyterian Church, Charlottesville, VA
The theme of our May CUUL jam session is "Three Chords and the Truth," a phrase popularized by country singer-songwriter Harlan Howard. Can you guess what feature the songs we'll be playing that night will share?
Yes! Only three chords, so everyone can join in the fun! We'll be posting a songbook here* in a few weeks, but in the meantime, let's get to practicing those three-chord goodies! We'll also be selecting and playing songs out of the purple Daily Ukulele songbook, available from amazon.
We meet at Meadows Presbyterian Church from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Park in the side parking lot and plan to enter through the double doors at the front of the church.
Our normal practice is to gather in a circle and take turns selecting songs for the group to play and sing together. There's no obligation to either choose or lead songs; other folks are happy to help where needed!
*Please download or print a copy and bring it along with you, but don't stress if you don't get to it. We’re a friendly group, and folks are always willing to share music!
