May CUUL Jam

Our May CUUL jam will take place Thursday, May 28th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Meadows Presbyterian Church. Our theme this month is “Space Jam,” inspired by our place in the Universe and the movement of the celestial bodies around us. Expect songs about the sun, moon, stars, planets, skies, flying machines, cosmic longing, and perhaps the occasional mysterious visitor from beyond.

We’ll be drawing from the celestial-themed songbook I’ve put together, but please also bring along your copies of Jim Beloff’s yellow or purple songbooks if you’d prefer to play out of them. (If you don't have a copy, no worries -- we're a friendly sharing bunch!)

This month, we'll be meeting in the Fellowship Hall at the aforementioned Meadows Presbyterian Church on Angus Road. Park in the side parking lot and plan to enter through the front door at the front of the building -- we'll be in the room on the right.

We normally gather in a circle on the 4th Thursday of each month and take turns selecting songs for the group to play and sing together, either from the songbook or from music folks have brought with them. There's no obligation to either choose or lead songs; other members are happy to help where needed. We play a variety of songs of all levels, and most assuredly, a good time will be had by all!
