We are a growing, informal group of ukulele players in the greater Charlotte area who periodically get together and play our ukes. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to join, regardless of experience, we're just looking to have a great time. Even if you're just curious about the ukulele but haven't started playing yet, feel free to swing by and get to know what we're all about. Membership in the group is free (though we gratefully accept voluntary contributions to share the cost of the meetup site and making copies).
We will meet in-person, outside and distanced at Freedom Park, by the train. See photos for map of the park and where we will be. Bring a folding chair or blanket, your uke, and your yellow Daily Ukulele book by Liz & Jim Beloff if you have one (and the blue leap year edition too if you have that) and a music stand if you'd like.
Anyone is welcome to lead a song! (If it is not in the yellow book, please bring at least 10 copies)
For many of us, being in a group setting again feels strange - we will try to maintain distance and please be respectful of individual comfort levels for interaction.
If all goes well you will see the UkeWagen (our blue VW camper van) in the parking lot near where we will meet.
(If it is raining, check back here for an alternative location or date)
