Who is interested in Car pooling?
There is a Walmart we could meet at and drive together to the trailhead. Walmart address is 5588 Little Debbie Parkway, Ooltewah, TN. Park towards the street so we can find each other.

Oswald Dome trail is an 7.4 mile out-and-back hike (3.7 miles each way). It ascends south from the Hiwassee river and is on the same mountain as Benton Falls. This is an intermediate/advanced hike due to the elevation change (600ft/mile - 2257ft total - see profile in photos).
The trail surface is mostly smooth and even, with few rocks or roots ("flowy" in mountain biking terms). The elevation change is remarkably consistent, so it "feels" less steep than it actually is. There is no view from the top, but there are several views of the Tennessee Valley from the trail.
Plan on a nominal 2.0 mph hiking speed. If we are a large enough group, we can have faster and slower sub-groups, as long as we meet up at pre-designated stops.
