Water to Wine Its a miracle! (or maybe just fermentation) Kayak and Wine

Book now or forever wish you had. I mean this is the time all the cool kids are going. Be a cool kid!

I used to plan a biannual Water to Wine event in a different time and place. At the beginning of Kayak season and at the end. It was a huge hit. I had it all mapped out there. This will be new to me here The other place had wine slushies. Fifty plus people attended a couple of times. This is my first time trying it here.

I am going to try something similar a little closer to Chattvegas. I know the outfitter, so there's that. They're fine, but I am unfamiliar with the Restaurant/Vineyard so we are rolling the dice here people.

Be ready to wing it

Simple concept. We go to the outfitter and have a fun kayacky day. Maybe stop a couple of times along the way, bring snacks, food, water, sunscreen, Sandra Bullock, and water shoes. For dinner drive over to wine and greek food. Wine tastings available.

Choose the right date, watercraft, and time. Book now or roll the dice and maybe you book a later time and paddle real fast to catch up to us. Or watch from the shore. Not as much fun though.

So reserve your Kayak here.

Seriously folks you know how to do this.

Right?

Pack some snacks, hydration, water shoes, sunscreen. Whatever you feel you need to float down the river and enjoy the day. Probably going to stop once or twice along the way. They're those inflatable Kayaks.

Was going to Tube, but was unsure of the water Temp and freezing my Tookus off.

Then we head over to Silver Springs Vineyard for some Greek Food and Wine. Sadly no wine slushy, but that's life.

Here is the stuff about them and there's a link to a menu on there too. Should be enough to satisfy all palates and dietary restrictions. Maybe not cannibals, but everyone else should be pleased.

Can never please those guys anyways.

But the rest of you check it out here.

Call ahead to arrange a wine tasting.

I put my mental meandering at the end this time.

Keep you guys on your toes.

. Why did Jesus turn Water into wine? Turns out it was a wedding. Understandably everyone must've needed a drink. Or five.

I would need more than just one drink. Probably something a little stiffer being that close to a brush with commitment.

Commitment adjacent is too close. Scary stuff, feel like I am telling a scary story here.

Must've been a pretty good matchup though if they needed only wine. Personally Whisky is a better choice, but it wasn't invented yet.

The earliest mentions of whisky was 1405 in Ireland. First mentioned in the write up of a Chieftains death. He apparently drank to much whisky.

Must have been going to a Wedding.

Probably his own.

I mean that would explain it.

Well he died happy and unmarried I suppose. Those two words seem to be synonymous though.

Lets just keep it friends and wine. With a side of kayaking.

Post script nobody will read
I am hoping this post gets Nominated for a Thurber Prize. It's an awards program in honor of an author I love James Thurber in humor writing.

Nah forget it. I don't stand a chance, but....

It was pointed out to me very very recently that while written to be funny for its satirical look at relationships it has now in light of current events become funnier instead for if you know the rest of the story it's Irony.
