Window Cliffs and Comfort Food

Details
WINDOW CLIFFS! So much water. I am so excited! There is 9 water crossings and natural bridges, rock structures and I hear there is a waterfall. All the things that make my heart so happy!
Closer to the hike I will pay attention to the water levels online to see if it is safe and we will adjust accordingly if needed.
You will want to wear appropriate shoes. Choose between comfortable hiking water shoes or water proof shoes/boots and wool socks.
You will want fast drying pants/shorts and fast drying shirt. I hear walking sticks may be needed.
**NO DOGS**
This is considered moderately hard due to a bit of elevation, water crossings, slippery rocks. But it is worth it!
Check out the link and read all the reviews, look at the photos and decide if you would like to venture out to this gorgeous area.
If we feel extra energetic, we may run on over a few minutes to Burgess.
If not, then we will drive in to town and enjoy some wonderful comfort food and shopping at Chestnut Oaks Farm Store and Kitchen. It looks like a wonderful place to get some fried green tomatoes and relax after a long hike. I suggest bringing a dry change of clothes.
This will be a long day. Bring snacks. If you are on a time constraint, then prepare to drive your own car. The rest of us are free to carpool.
This is 2 hours from Chattanooga. Anyone wanting to carpool will meet at Walmart Signal Mountain.
**We will leave promptly at 8:30 am EASTERN**
I am so excited for this day!!
I can't wait to see who is going to enjoy it with us.

This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail. Window Cliffs is a hidden gem in Tennessee that's worth visiting. The trail includes nine creek crossings, although some of them may be dry during certain seasons. You'll be able to hear the sound of Cane Creek throughout most of the trail, and you'll also get to see a beautiful waterfall and the overlook of window cliffs. Water levels can vary depending on weather conditions, so after a rainy period, the creek may be difficult to cross. The trail gradually ascends up a hill and leads to stunning views at the top of the mountain
