The day after Santa Hike-Savage Day, North Rim Loop & North Plateau

A quick and short write up from yours truly. I am filling my week off with fun stuff. Well this one may not be fun to some. It is a nine mile hike, but only a 748 foot elevation change. It has a pretty waterfall on it too.

It is the Savage Day, North Rim Loop & North Plateau loop.

We meet in the Walmart parking lot and head to the trailhead around 10:00 am. It is approximately an hour drive to the Trailhead so sometime around 11:00 we should be there. The time is approximate and I am unable to give a to the minute time of arrival.

The hike is not hard, but it is longer, nine miles. I expect everyone to know their abilities, read the trail description, and decide for themselves if they can do it. Also know the gear and snacks to bring is your responsibility.

This is a beautiful trail for a challenging day hike or a nice multi-day backpacking loop. Though some areas may be slightly muddy, the trail is very well-marked and easy to follow. You'll find ample parking at the trailhead. The trail itself isn't too challenging, but there are some steady inclines in certain areas. You'll be rewarded with stunning overlooks, especially along the ridge sections."
