This is your lucky day. I had to run to to Chattanooga quite literally for a few minutes and drive back to Alabama so I am pressed for time.
We are going to paddle to Burgess falls. After we will have a picnic at the Cane creek Recreation area where we put in and then head home.

- Check the Water Levels: If it has rained heavily, the current near the falls can be dangerous. Conversely, in late fall, be prepared for a longer walk over rocks.
- Arrive Early: Cane Hollow is a popular spot. On summer weekends, the parking lot can fill up by 10:00 AM.
- Watch for "Spider Rain": If you paddle too close to the overhanging trees on the banks, you might knock down small (harmless) spiders into your boat. Stay toward the middle of the channel!
- Respect the Park: Alcohol is prohibited on the water and within the state park boundaries.
