So you know it's going to be really cool

Okay hear me out on this. The Main Character Odysseus, was married to Penelope. They had one son named Telemachus. He set out with 600 of his buddies on 12 ships. Came back ten years later by himself. 600 of your closest friends. twelve boats and you've been missing for ten years? Yea, the story had better be a good one. You could tell he really was looking for a way to stay out of trouble after a 10-year lake trip with the guys

Let me help you read between the lines her Penelope.

The Cyclops has he and his buds trapped and he has to blind him to escape. They were drinking. The dude who owned the lake house they were at had a bunch of alcohol. When he got drunk he had to squint with only one eye to focus better. When the dude passed out and the alcohol ran out it was time to go.

Land of the Lotus eaters. They ate lotus flowers and forgot their way home. Really? They left the one eyed dudes house lake house to get baked at another buddies house on the lake. Obviously this was before random drug testing and no-one wa going to have to pee in a cup.

Circe's Island. Circe turns the men into swine. Odysseus convinces her to turn them back to human form. In other words, they just left their friends' house where they got baked, were understandably hungry, and hit up a Golden Corral till they got thrown out. It' called the munchies and Dominos Pizza wan't a thing yet.

Sirens... Penelope when he tells you this is a "Gentleman's club they went to next do not believe him. Gentleman is a term that is loosely applied here. Oh, and they're not singing. Another term for it I have heard was it was a shoe show, because that was the only consistent attire.

He navigates between the monsters Sylla and the whirlpool Charybdis... That's a nope! These are the bouncers names at Sirens. He and his crew acted up.

Calypso's Island-He is held Captive by Calypso until the gods' intervention for his release. In actuality, he is doing a little time for the stuff that went down at Sirens, and the Judge finally gave him parole. Does he have something around his ankle, and is he having to stay close to home, Penelope?

Finally does make it home, and Penelope has some dudes getting her digits. After ten years, I guess I could understand. It is time to move on.

You have to admire his creativity in his story to Penelope.

I think the movie The Hangover is based on this. I've never seen a movie on the Odyssey. I did watch the Hangover movie though.

Let's go see The Odyssey in IMAX. This is supposed to be amazing. I read the poem when I was in high school, so it would be fun to go see the movie.

It is supposed to be one of those movies designed for the IMAX.
