Wings, Whiskey, and Wine Wednesday
Details
Crispy hot wings, fine whiskey, and wine,
Kayaks on rivers and mountain sunshine,
Backpacks for hiking up steep mountain trails, Paddle boards floating where cool water prevails!
Taco Tuesdays and fun game nights at bars
Watching big movies beneath bright shiny stars
Trying new restaurants with tasty new bites,
Meeting at Read House with billiards at night!
Lazy river tubing on hot summer days
Riverfront concerts with music that slays
Book club discussions on novels we love
These are the things that we can’t get enough of!
When the trail's steep
When the river’s rough
When I’m feeling tired
I simply remember my Chattanooga Outdoor Adventures and I feel inspired!
I realize the hike was longer than they said and know why I am so tired.
But I get to go to this event and drink Whiskey and eat chicken wings!
With C.O.A I get to do a few of my favorite things.
So One of my least favorite movies is The Sound of Music. A sibling of mine played it a lot when I was young. There was no streaming back in those cave dweller days so I would have to miss whatever show was on so she could watch it, again. I wont really watch it now, but when I see a bunch of stuff I like put together that damn song goes through my head like an ear worm.
So let’s fix my unresolved childhood trauma the most effective way possible Alcohol, and Chicken wings.
Or we could sit around and talk about the trauma of me having to watch on our one tv this double dipped cheese fest of a movie.
Let’s just stick to Whiskey and wings. With Alcohol you don't need a therapist. You just need another drink.
Every Wednesday is Parkway Pourhouse’s Wings, Whiskey and Wine.
