We felt it was time to share a new volunteer opportunity in the spirit of what our group stands for.

Project Host is Not Just a Soup Kitchen…
At Project Host, they believe the whole community can only address food insecurity, and they engage the people of Greenville in every step of the process.

Their programs support one another and focus on giving back to the broader Greenville community. Their Soup Kitchen depends on volunteers and can serve as a pipeline into our CC Pearce Culinary School. Their culinary students prepare meals for the Cooking for Kids program and have the opportunity to intern and work in our Bakery and on our Host Mobile food truck. These social enterprises, in turn, invite the Greenville community to eat, drink, and be merry, all while giving back to Project Host. Our Gardening for Good program also runs on volunteers and provides our food programs with homegrown produce to bring nutritional value to our meals.

- An average of 40,000 free meals served out of the Soup Kitchen annually
- An annual average of nearly 40,000 free meals served to children through Cooking for Kids
- An average of 300 free meals served through the Host Mobile Food Outreach program weekly
- Over 200 graduates of the CC Pearce Culinary School since 2003
- 2,000 pounds of produce grown in our Gardening for Good Program

We have scheduled a tour and would like to offer this chance to do good in the Greenville community and more.
