Twenty of us got to Golden Oaks in the preseason and really loved it, so I booked it when Broad Run scheduled maintenance.
Golden Oaks is an award-winning high-end semi-private golf club offering golfers a “Country Club Experience” without Country Club Prices. With five sets of tees, golfers of every skill level will enjoy their game. Golden Oaks has a beautiful restaurant and bar, pro shop, driving range, and bed and breakfast that will complete any visit. Golden Oaks Golf Club is the perfect venue for corporate functions and golf tournaments and is the home of the PIAA Eastern PA Championship.

We have 9 tee times starting at 10:00 with 10 minute intervals. Rate for seniors, including cart, is $48.
The course requests any unneeded tee times be turned in one week ahead and requires a final count 3 Days (72 Hours) before the day. Late cancellations may be required to pay greens fees (course discretion). - Let's Golf at Foxchase!!Foxchase Golf Club, Stevens, PA
Some of us have played Foxchase on off days or got out last postseason and loved it.
Located on a beautifully repurposed dairy farm in Stevens, Pennsylvania, Foxchase Golf Club opened in 1991 and offers a 18 hole public course with a private club atmosphere. Foxchase is a links-style golf course perfect for players of all skill levels, with a grass driving range and Indoor Golf Simulator. It has two seasonal restaurants with bars and exceptional staff, Rated 4.5 stars & voted Best of Lancaster, this is one you can't miss out on.
Make sure you check out their website for the latest on traffic and road construction before you go. It is a bit further, but still under an hour from West Chester via the turnpike.

As of 2/10/24, Turtle Creek still offers a senior discount coupon - new price is $42 ($45 without coupon). I think they accept ID to prove age, but best to have the coupon available.
The course has required I provide a deposit and to provide a final count one week prior, so please re-check early to make sure you will make it
Turtle Creek is a wide-open layout that can be challenging (especially #18!). So, pull out that big stick and let 'er rip! Rates using a senior coupon for greens fees including a cart are: $42.
If you want to drive a few before teeing off, sign in and get your cart, then toodle up to Waltz golf farm. They have a dispenser at the range tees.

In the past, we have gone to Trappe Tavern (416 West Main St, Trappe, Pa 19426) after the round. Joe Valentine has also suggested going to the bar/restaurant at Landis Creek Golf Course which is 5 minutes from Turtle Creek (https://www.landiscreekgolfclub.com/sports-bar).
