How can this work for you ?? - meet people and share ideas - get support

Meet some other members of your local branch of Humanists UK – there will be refreshments and good conversation! It would be lovely to welcome you to a vibrant local community of humanists and people interested in learning more about humanism as a world view.

Volunteers currently involved with the running of your branch want to learn from you what YOU would like your branch to offer and to offer you the chance to get involved if you wished to.

You may have some skills that you wish to develop through some purposeful activity with the branch or perhaps you’d like to share something you’re passionate about and see if others would be interested?

We are all different, and different things will appeal to different people of course. Your branch wants to offer as broad a range of activities and opportunities to meet up as we can. To do this your branch needs volunteers to help organise and run some of the different events.

In the past we have held various talks, workshops, games evenings and social events such as theatre trips, music events, walks and joined in community events. We also maintain a community garden in the public park in Chester (Grosvenor Park). There are trained celebrants, pastoral support volunteers, school speakers and dialogue volunteers (involved in discussions with people of faith) within the branch area.

The branch wishes to support local humanists in the best way and help people get involved.

A FREE to attend meeting (donations will be requested) - Refreshments will be provided.
