Volunteering at Chicago Furniture Bank

Join us in volunteering at Chicago Furniture Bank to provide essential furniture to families in need!

Chicago Furniture Bank collects donations from across the Chicagoland area and beyond, where they prepare them for a showroom-style experience. Clients get to hand-pick a full home's worth of furnishings — completely free of charge.

Our activities may include:
- Applying our IKEA assembly manual comprehension skills (or lack thereof — don't worry, there's always help)
- Chatting and connecting while we sort donated household items
- Packing up kitchenware boxes to help families fully stock their new kitchens

Please bring:
- Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a lil dusty
- Closed-toe shoes
- Water bottle

Come solo or bring friends! There's plenty of space and things to do. No need to register!

Transportation:
- Orange Line: The Kedzie station is only a 7min walk from CFB
- Bus: 52 or 94 bus get you very close to CFB
- Driving: They have plenty of free parking for anyone who drives
- Carpool: Feel free to post below or in the WhatsApp to carpool

After (optional): We may head out for some tacos nearby, or whatever else the group is feeling!
