Dungeons and Dragons One-Shots @ Dice Dojo (Edgewater)

Looking for an in-person D&D experience? Search no further, as we'll be holding a variety of adventures at Dice Dojo!

Character Creation (the hardest part!!)

1. It's recommended for new players to try out the DNDBeyond (IOS/Android) app for a streamlined character creation (especially if you're not familiar with D&D 5e/5.5e's rules)!
2. I'm sharing DNDBeyond Group URLs with Content Sharing turned on below & in the comment section of this Meetup event for attendees.
3. Once you click any link after having the DNDBeyond app installed, you should be able to create your character with guidance from the app.
4. Important but often overlooked, players may spend excess gold from character creation on additional Weapons (minus Pistols or Muskets unless DM-permitted), Armor, Artisans Tools, & Adventuring Gear.
5. If any new players experience difficulty in creating their character (or wish to do so at a later time), we also plan to dedicate the first 30 minutes of this event towards setup & assistance.

• Also, just because this is an anime meetup, don't feel like you need to make your characters anime-themed. 😂

Character Creation (About DNDBeyond)
Note that you'll initially be limited in your Species / Background / Subclass / Feat / Magic choices if you haven't bought materials from the DNDBeyond app before (which cost $$$).

• After you have joined this campaign URL however, you'll gain access to all game features from most of the essential rulebooks when creating/editing your character.

RSVPing
FYI: This event will be created with 20 RSVP slots.
We ask that folks who know they can't make it ahead of time to cancel their RSVPs so that others capable can attend.

• Our group is not normally strict on RSVPing, but we want to ensure that no-shows avoid taking up limited space.
• The # of RSVP spaces open are tied to both the feasibility of completing one-shots in a timely manner & the table space we've been granted by Dice Dojo.

DMing

Games (w/ 4~5 players per table)

• Table #1 (Kyle G): 1st Level. Any Alignment(s). 5th Edition (2014).
  (Aimed At Newer Players)
  In the Temples District of Baldur's Gate, the Helm and Cloak inn has become host to a... talking chair, fueled by the power of an EVIL dead warlock.
  High social & moderate combat.
• Table #2 (Victor H): 1st Level. Any Alignment(s). 5th Edition (2014).
  School for adventurers, mages encouraged.
  High social & low-moderate combat.
• Table #3 (Axel C): 3rd Level. Any Alignment(s). 5th Edition (2014).
  Ruins of Symbaroum - an adventure in a dark fantasy setting.
  Moderate exploration & combat difficulty.
• Table #4 (Keegan R): 10th Level. Any Alignment(s). 5th Edition (2014).
  Players attempt to fight a conqueror (& die in the process).
  High combat difficulty & low survival chance.

Schedule

• 6:15pm: Arrive, create/edit your characters, & socialize for the time being.
• 6:45pm~7:00pm: Games will begin; DMs will narrate their settings, introduce characters, & start the adventuring.
• 10:00pm: Dice Dojo closes at this time; games may end earlier than this, but we'll want to start packing up a few minutes before by the latest.
• Post Event: If parties aren't able to finish their entire one-shot in a single session, DMs may feel free to coordinate plans to continue at a later time.
