Retro Anime Screening @ Beermiscuous (Lake View)

Chicago Anime Hangouts is having a retro anime screening! We'll be watching a bunch of cool episodes from "old" anime. So experience these "old" classics that most of every show today s̶e̶c̶r̶e̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶r̶e̶h̶a̶s̶h̶e̶s̶ takes inspiration from!

More Anime Events:
For anyone in the area, we recommend you guys also check out the new Anime Social Club anime Chicago group, as they're also hosting an event at Beermiscous earlier from 3-6pm.

Location FYI:
FYI: This event was originally going to be held at the West Loop library, but it appears a group has RSVP'd the upstairs library section every Saturday for 3 months in a row (until May).
• Prior, we always held events at the library due to its space holding a large group (up to 80 people).
• Due to this unavailability, we will be holding this event at Beermiscous instead at a later time (7:00pm instead of 11:30am).

Changes Based on Different Location:
Know that we will only have 3 hours of watch-time instead of 4.5 hours, so we'll have fewer shows, only one break, & limited RSVP slots (30 slots).
• As for the seasonal sampler (which will be ~mid April), I & a few other organizers are still discussing what we'll do.

RSVP Attendance Ask:
For this particular event, if you are unable to attend this event & do not update your RSVP prior, we will unfortunately have to put folks on an attendance list.
• We normally do not do this for our open events, but will need to due to this event having a limited RSVP count.
• Please try to update your RSVP within at least 12 hours before this event if you can't make it to be respectful towards any folks on the waitlist.

Schedule (Rough Estimate):
*this schedule is made with the assumption that shows are 20 minutes running & that we will not suffer from significant tech difficulties.
• 7:00pm - 7:20pm: Setup equipment, chairs, snacks, & optional nametags.
• 7:20pm - ~8:55pm: Watch anime (listed in the Google Sheets), w/ one 15-minute break in-between.
• 8:55pm ~ 9:00pm: Wrap-up, clean-up, & hopefully converse afterwards.

About Beermiscuous
Beermiscuous is a 'coffee shop'-styled bar with a huge selection of cans & craft beer.
• Outside alcoholic drinks are not allowed, but food & nonalcoholic drinks (water & soda) are permitted.
• We'll be meeting in Beermiscuous' basement area, so find the stairs near the right of when you first enter the bar.

To rent this space, we pay Beermiscuous $100, with this amount allowed to be paid off via buying drinks on this tab.
• So if anyone plans to buy drinks, please pay on the room's tab, then pay me directly for your amount afterwards (I'll provide my Venmo in the Meetup chat / at the venue).
