Beach party & picnic for people with disabilities & friends, Flexible shift time

Come celebrate Summer fun with a beach party and picnic for 500 people with disabilities, their friends and families. Everyone is welcome!

Volunteer shift time is flexible, whatever time you give to help our guests will be deeply appreciated.

We will start setting up at 9:00 A.M. with the tables, chairs, pop up tents, banners, and grills. Cooking will start at 11:00 a.m. Lunch buffet will open at noon time and throughout the day. Breakdown and packing up will start at 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Most guests with disabilities will start arriving around noon time

Volunteers can help with registration and resource information tables, escorting guests that have limited mobility or visually impaired, help them get food at the buffet table, help them play bingo and other fun activities. Shirley Ryan Ability Lab and other organizations will provide additional excursions for the guests with disabilities including hand cycling, adaptive kayaking,and Kids Zone play area.

Free parking for volunteers across the street at St Andrew's Church, 5641 North Sheridan road. Free Lunch, cold drinks and ice creams will be provided for volunteers.
