Help with MONTHLY food pantry distribution in West Humbolt Park

Come help support the largest food pantry in West Humboldt Park, with Mission of Our Lady of the Angels. The nuns and volunteers are currently helping feed 4,000 families each month.

In addition to their weekly indoor Tuesday food pantry in West Humboldt Park, the awesome nuns at Mission of Our Lady of the Angels also host a mobile pantry outdoors in a neighboring parking lot on the first Saturday of every month.

AT THE Saturday PANTRY:
Where: 3814 W. Iowa St (Outreach center).

Parking: Please park at 3800 W. Iowa St. (entrance off Hamlin), 824 N. Hamlin, or in the grass lot at 900 N. Avers.

When: Every first Saturday of the month unless there is a holiday. Holiday date changes will be announced on the home page, the calendar page, and through the e-mail list.

Time: Arrive at 8:00 am. The pantry concludes before noon.

While the nuns at this mission are of Catholic faith, they serve families of all faiths in the community and you do not need to be Catholic to volunteer and help. You should come with an open mind and attitude of respect and tolerance.

About the organizations:
The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels establishes a Catholic presence in the West Humboldt Park area on Chicago’s west side.

This area is presently one of the poorest neighborhoods in the City of Chicago. The purpose of the Mission is twofold: to assist the materially poor and to share the treasure of our Catholic Faith.
