Chicago Public Library Little Italy Community Project~
Details
Hi,
Sarah the librarian at the Chicago Public Library's Little Italy branch started a knit and crochet circle on Wednesday nights starting at 6pm and has a community project people can work on, if they want to.
She thought we might be interested and since some people were interested in other meeting days and locations....this might work out perfect.
They are at 1336 W. Taylor Street.
Here is the event series info: https://chipublib.bibliocommons.com/v2/events?series=644ffc540e0afc410072547c
They have yarn, needles, hooks, etc. to make a pixelated version of the CPL owl, or people can bring their own project to work on. The squares they are making are only 3x3 inches (the size of a regular post-it note), so they don't take much time to make but they'll need a lot of them!
People can use whatever stitch pattern they like as long as it doesn't have holes (like lace) or distort the shape of the square. And it's all free, of course.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you!
Cheers and Stitches!
Sherry
