PostgreSQL Meetup with Bruce Momjian - zoom version

Details

Dear Chicago PUG members,

This is an online version of our September 19 meetup. Please RSVP to this event only if you plan to attend virtually. If you plan to attend in person, please RSVP here, and please remember that in-person RSVP will be closed at 7 AM tomorrow!

On September 19, our guest speaker will be Bruce Momjian! Bruice had presented at Chicago PUG before, but it has been a while since the last time he presented in person, and we can't wait to welcome him again! I hope everybody is as excited as I am.

Talk title: What's new in Postgres 16?

About the speaker:

Bruce Momjian is a co-founder and core team member of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group and has worked on PostgreSQL since 1996. He has been employed by EDB since 2006. He has spoken at many international open-source conferences and is the author of PostgreSQL: Introduction and Concepts, published by Addison-Wesley.

Agenda:

- Hettie, DRW: Updates on upcoming PostgreSQL events
- Bruce Momjian: What's new in Postgres 16
- EDB-sponsored raffle with prizes.
- Q&A and networking

The doors will open at 5-30, with food arriving at the same time, and the talks will start promptly at 6 PM.

Please be on time! You might not be able to get in on the 25th floor after 6!

As usual, I hope to see as many of you as possible in person!

Hettie Dombrovskaya,
Chicago PUG Local Organizer
