March Meetup- Alex Rose, From Cuba to the Coral Triangle!

We will be meeting again at the Haymarket Brew Pub, and again at a non-usual day to accommodate our speaker and venue!

Our guest this month is one out favorite speakers, Alex Rose. Among other things, she is the Science Editor of Ocean Geographic magazine. As Editor, she has had the privilege of traveling and diving for her job, and then sharing what she does with words and images. Nearly every trip or expedition the magazine offers has a strong conservation component, and she excited to share what she has been doing in the last six months.

Alex Rose is a biologist, diver, musician, and underwater photographer. She is the Science Editor of Ocean Geographic Magazine, the Managing Editor of Ocean Geographic Explorers, and founder of ocean conservation company Blue Ring. Her driving goal is to find ways to protect our world’s precious marine habitats through diving, writing, photography, education, and research.
