Earth Day - Roosevelt Corridor Clean-Up
Details
This is the fifth year we'll participate in the Earth Day cleanup project. The location has moved this year to the Roosevelt Street corridor -- and the event kicks off at the corner of State and Roosevelt by the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Please arrive early - we will meet by 9:50 a.m. at the southwest corner of State and Roosevelt and head to the registration spot. The event starts promptly at 10 a.m. The organizers will assign our group a specific section/area to clean up.
You only need to sign up here. Check back for any arrival timing adjustments or any other logistics adjustments as the final details are worked out for this event.
Cleanup efforts will first center on Roosevelt Rd. from State Street to Michigan Ave. Depending on the overall number of volunteers, the organizers may cover a larger area, such as south to 18th St. and north to Harrison. Trash bags will be provided, but bring your own protective gloves and trash grabber.
South Loop Neighbors, Rotary Club of Chicago Citywide Service, Grant Park Advisory Council and Chicago Park District are hosting their annual Grant Park Clean-Up.
Sign up here (bring a friend or two or three or more ...) through us and we will meet as a group on this morning. Bring as many friends as you wish. This should be a large turnout of neighbors. Stay for as long as you'd like. If you sign up but cannot attend, please make sure you update your RSVP details prior to the event. Thank you!
