Trick-taking New Year's Day in Wicker Park.

Hello gaming friends! Do you like card games? Whether you're into modern trick-taking/shedding games or are a classic card game player, you're welcome to join us every 1st and 3rd Thursday. Learn a new game or teach us your favorite! Most games we play are in the 15-45 minute range, so we often play several at each event.

This is a special event, happening earlier in the day than usual, since I'm assuming many folks have the day off.

Our gaming-friendly bar/lounge, Low Horse, has a selection of modern and classic board games, table games (including Crokinole and Klask), and retro video game systems (NES & SNES) available for your enjoyment! I can attest to the super cool, low key lounge vibe of the space. They have drink specials, you can bring your own food and you can bring your dog!

I'll be bringing some modern trick-taking and card games, such as The Crew, Rebel Princesses, Scout, and 3 Tricky Pigs, plus elusive Asian imports: Ghost Lift, Deep Sea Mines, Quattro, etc... The owner is also a big Euchre fan! Attendees are welcome to bring their own card games to teach and share!
