The hike will take no more than 2 hours.

Plan to allow extra time because there is limited parking where we are meeting. There is a big parking lot across the street if spots are filled..

We are meeting at 3725 Spring Road, Oakbrook Graue Mill Parking lot 2. Meet in the parking lot closest to the river.

After the hike we'll then walk over to York tavern for those who want to have lunch. Its right next to the Fullersburg trail where we will hike. This may be a first come first serve lunch.

We have flexibility to make the hike shorter if its very frigid out.

Dogs are welcome. I don't know if a porta potty is at this site and will update as the date gets closer.

This is a popular preserve and features many trails and routes. The one we will explore hugs Salt creek most of the way. The trail is at least 6 feet wide in most areas and consists of finely crushed gravel, tightly packed dirt, or blacktop in some areas. In Winter its very flat. There are no tree roots or other obstacles on the trail. Please wear ice cleats and be prepared for slippery trail surfaces.

The dam has been removed and there is no longer a waterfall. It has also been cleared of many trees from what I heard on Social Media. The construction equipment should be gone by now.
