Hike Summary
This is a popular preserve and features many trails and routes. The one we will explore hugs Salt creek most of the way. The trail is at least 6 feet wide in most areas and consists of finely crushed gravel, tightly packed dirt, or blacktop in some areas. Its very flat. There are no tree roots or other obstacles on the trail. Please wear ice cleats and be prepared for slippery trail surfaces.
The dam has been removed and there is no longer a waterfall. It has also been cleared of many trees from what I heard on Social Media.
This hike is cross posted with Chicagoland Trailblazers Hiking Group

and my guest rsvp includes members of the group.
