EVENINGS WITH RALPH 2012

By Popular Demand - Evenings with Ralph 2012!

Again this year Ralph Frese will host three evening discussions at the Chicagoland Canoe Base - January 10, February 14 and March 13. And while Ralph will lead the discussions, it is fully intended that anyone with stories, boats, photos, books or other documents related to the topic at hand will bring them to share with the group! All three sessions will begin at 7:00 pm at the Canoe Base (4019 North Narragansett) and are guaranteed to provide both an educational and social lift to dark winter evenings.

Topics will focus on:

· January 10: Skin Boats from around the world!

· February 14: Reed Boats from ancient times to today - man's use of watercraft made from reeds in the absence of trees!

· March 13: The expeditious mobilization of a Great Lakes Naval fleet 200 years ago!

Come early, stay late. Seating may be limited; your kneeling pads could come in handy!
