How about a little cache-busting free-for-all and chance to talk
infrastructury stuff?

Cache-busting is one of those topics many of us don't think about because

a) Rails does it automatically, and/or
b) Our traffic isn't heavy enough to make it a real pain

Trouble is, there are cases where the built in cache-busting doesn't work very well that can do more than make your site a little slower, it can make it look very bad to the end user.

Dean Pannell will talk about a real-life cache-busting problem, and a real-life very bad "solution", along with a much better solution. Along the way, he's probably going to mention a little queueing theory because he likes that kind of thing, but don't worry, it's got to be simple enough for Dean to understand so you'll have no problems at all.

If you've done great stuff with caching and/or site performance, this would be a great time to talk about it!
