Welcome to another edition of ChicagoRuby Downtown! This month we welcome Jack Thorne back to the ruby stage.

SUMMARY:
Ruby is introducing RBS, a new type syntax for Ruby 3. Typing has been gaining popularity in the Ruby/Python/Javascript word and adoption in frameworks. Let us take a look at Lucky, a framework in Crystal designed from the ground up with typing in mind to reduce errors through types.

Jack is a senior software engineer at Braintree on the disputes team. He has worked with Ruby for a decade and enjoys working on code quality and performance. He has been using and participating in the Crystal Community for half a decade. He runs Chicago Crystal and sometimes works with Chicago Ruby.
