Join us at the Sony Wonder Lab on Madison Ave. for a screening of the documentary "Big Dream" + Q&A panel discussion featuring Cassidy from Big Dream, Shawndra from Microsoft, Rachel from Jet and a student from Pace University.
Big Dream (http://www.bigdreammovement.com/) follows the intimate stories of seven young women who are breaking barriers and overcoming personal challenges to follow their passion in science, math, computing & engineering. From small town Iowa to the bustling streets of the Middle East, Big Dream immerses viewers in a world designed by and for the inspiring next generation of girls.

• Rachel Reese is a long-time software engineer and math geek who can often be found talking to random strangers about the joys of functional programming and F#. She currently works for Jet.com in NYC. She has helped run the Nashville F# User group, @NashFSharp, and the Burlington, VT functional programming user group, @VTFun. She's also an ASPInsider, an F# MVP, a Xamarin MVP, a community enthusiast, one of the founding @lambdaladies and a Rachii.
• Cassidy Williams is a software engineer and developer evangelist at Clarifai. She comes from a software engineering and developer evangelism background, after graduating with a computer science degree from Iowa State University. As an avid public speaker and one of Glamour Magazine's 35 Women Under 35 Who Are Changing the Tech Industry, Cassidy has worked with hackathons, meetups, conferences and events around the country.
• Shawndra Hill is a senior researcher at Microsoft Research NYC and an adjunct associate professor in the Operations and Information Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she is an Annenberg Public Policy Center Distinguished Research Fellow, a Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative Senior Fellow, and a core member of the Penn Social Media and Health Innovation Lab and the Warren Center for Network and Data Sciences.
• Briana Vecchione is a senior CS major at Pace University in NYC with an interest in data science for social tech. She's previously worked for Microsoft Research and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and has presented at the ACM SIGKDD at Bloomberg and ACM Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing, where her team was awarded 2nd place nationwide for undergraduate research.
