Welcome to the DINKs, the childfree, and those that say "that's not really for me"! Being social as a childfree person (or couple) in your 20s/30s/40s can sometimes be difficult if most of your social circle's plans revolve around parenting. The goal of this group is to create an additional social outlet and opportunity for like-minded people to connect. Rest assured there are others who want to hear about your adventures at the dog park, your spontaneous trip to Turks and Caicos, or your accomplishments that have nothing to do with non-existent offspring. We're not here to hate on people who have kids, but to have another avenue for social enrichment without the constraints of bedtime, PTO meetings, or soccer practice. Cheers!
Events will take place in Oakland and Wayne counties (to start).
(note: this is a group specifically for people who have happily chosen to not have kids. There are other groups available to support those who did not choose this or are currently facing struggles surrounding parenting)
Pets: As long as they're behaved, feel free to bring them! Allergy note: If you have severe pet allergies, message the host in advance so we can coordinate seating/placement.
