Childfree Friends - Sheffield - 30s to 40s

(This walk is for people travelling by public transport unless you know where to park to get back etc)

We shall meet at Sheffield bus station for the 17:45 bus no. 272 bus to Fox House - I’ll confirm platform no. At the weekend.
The walk will take us down Padley Gorge following the stream through moorland and woodland down to Grindleford taking in the evening air, listening to bird song and seeing spring in its natural living state. I may add a bit extra on to go through some of Longshaw Estate.
Then a short walk up to the Maynard for a well deserved rest, drink and natter.

We shall then stroll back down to Grindleford station and catch the 20:51 train back to Sheffield.

The walk is approx 3-4km, not too steep, it’s mainly downhill, with a mix of easy access and a few rocky bouldering parts. It shouldn’t be muddy as we’ve had no rain but make sure to wear some trainers or good sturdy shoes, no flip flops or high heels 😂.
