Welcome to the Childfree Western Suburbs Meetup! This group is for women over 40 (40's, 50's & 60's) who are childfree, and who are wanting to develop friendships with other women who are also childfree. "Childfree" means that you either made a choice to not have children, or perhaps you do not have children due to circumstances outside of your control.
This particular decade can be a difficult one in which to cultivate and maintain friendships with women who have children, since women with children are in the throes of raising and launching said children, and therefore have a very limited capacity for friendship, especially friendships with women like us, who do not have children. This group will help you connect with other women who do not have children and who are more available to get together.
This group is about CONNECTION, versus surface level activities, and events will be planned accordingly. There will be more coffees, brunches, and dinners here versus activities like loud bars and crowded concerts. The majority (but not all) of the events here are planned to give women an opportunity to connect and interact with each other, with the hopes of eradicating the loneliness that comes from being childfree in a child-centered world.
**If your children are grown and out of the house, you are an empty-nester and this is NOT the group for you. This is specifically a group for childfree women - in other words: women without children**
**FOR THE SAFETY OF THE GROUP: You MUST have a clear profile picture of your face, and it needs to match your face when we meet you**
**MEMBERS WHO CANCEL LESS THAN 24 HOURS before an event MORE THAN ONCE will be removed**
**This will be a group of Western suburban women who are excited to meet and socialize with other childfree women, who know how to have a good time, who know the importance of building connections with friendly likeminded women.
