Valheim: Deep North - Server launch night!
Details
Vikings... Odin needs your blade, once again. Join us for one of modern gaming's most compelling multiplayer adventures.
Originally launching into Early Access in 2021, Valheim has created a whole new genre, part survival-game, part souls-like action RPG. This game takes you on the ultimate fantasy Viking adventure - in a shared, continual world where the clock keeps ticking even when you log off, build a huge base with your brothers and sisters in arms, farm and cook food, sail off across the world to fight terrifying bosses and prove yourself worthy of a seat in Valhala.
In September 2026 the 1.0 version of Valheim will get a multi-platform release at the same time as its final region being introduced: The frozen wastelands of the Deep North. Join us for this adventure and you'll see why we think this is an incredible game.
You'll need Discord to play. This is a free app available on many platforms. If you don't have a link to our Discord server, you will be provided with one prior to the event starting.
After launch night, we will have a drop in session every night at 7pm where Vikings are encouraged to log in so we can play together.
FAQ for new players
How can I play?
Good news, Valheim is soon getting a release on all major platforms. PC is preferred, however you can also join us from XSX/S (Xbox), PS5 or Switch 2. The game is priced like an indie game meaning you should be able to pick it up for £20 or less, plus there are often discounts available. Its highly recommended you get a headset so you can talk to us on voice chat, at a minimum you'll be required to listen to the voice chat via Discord.
Is Valheim in early access?
No, by the time the server is launched Valheim will be in its 1.0 release and therefore out of Early Access.
How does the multiplayer work?
We have a dedicated server just for Chilled Out Meetups. We will share the same world, but because its a private server we don't need to share it with anyone else - there's no griefing/trolling etc. The world is continually saved and backed up, plus it runs 24/7, meaning you can play whenever you want - even if no one else is online!
Will I enjoy this game?
I really think so, not only is it simply a very well executed, balanced game thats insanely fun to play, there is a variety of gameplay meaning you take part in different things or just interact with what you're interested in.
- If you liked Dark Souls/Elden Ring/God of War... you'll enjoy the punishing melee combat
- If you liked Minecraft... you'll enjoy base building and gathering materials
- If you liked Sea of Thieves... you'll enjoy sailing and adventuring
- If you liked Stardew Valley/Animal Crossing/Pokopia... you'll enjoy farming, fishing and cooking
- If you liked Diablo/World of Warcraft... you'll enjoy clearing dungeons
FAQ for returning players
Are we starting fresh?
Yes, after careful consideration I feel the best thing to do is create a brand new world we can make our own.
Will we have to run through the other biomes?
Yes, however its been said that the 1.0 update will bring changes and new content to existing biomes, meaning that there will be something new to enjoy on the way. Ashlands is apparently getting a fix, meaning this biome shouldn't be as brutal and faster to clear.
Are we running mods?
That would currently preclude console players, so no. I think the core game is already well balanced, and first time players should be able to experience the game as the devs intended.
How many server slots?
Unless this update changes it, we will be limited due to the lack of mods to 10 slots. This will be enough, it's just possible that there might be a queue for a slot on the very first night, but I don't foresee this being an issue after that.
