New and returning members - come along to meet other new members who want to network with people like you! We're meeting at Trinity Kitchen for drinks and street food.

If you're not familiar with Trinity Kitchen, (meaning you're new to Leeds or live under a rock) its an upmarket food court with some permanent stands plus a rotating set of food vans with new options available every few weeks. This is true casual dining, sit anywhere you'd like and walk up to the place you'd like to order from. Having said that, purchasing lunch isn't a requirement, you can just turn up and chat!

All members are welcome to this event regardless of how many events you've been to, however you should be open to meeting new people if you want to attend. Most new members come by themselves so there's no need to worry, but you can add up to 5 guests to your RSVP if you'd like.

How to find us

Trinity Kitchen is on the upper levels of Trinity Leeds which is itself conveniently situated in the beating heart of the city centre. If it would be helpful, you can check out more details about Trinity Leeds here. We don't have a specific place we are sat and this will depend on where space is available, so keep an eye on the comments and WhatsApp when we let you know where we're sitting.

The train station is pretty much across the road and all bus services stop nearby. Trinity does have a car park, but keep in mind its not physically connected to the centre (you need to walk outside for a minute) and it can cost 2/3 pounds per hour.

About the venue

Trinity Kitchen is strictly casual dining so there's no table service or pressure to order. Just get whatever food or drinks you'd like, or nothing at all. You can see more details about Trinity Kitchen here.

There's far too many food vendors here to cover them all, however please note my personal stand outs below:

  • RolaWala - longstanding Indian wrap stand with delicious meat and veg fillings
  • Pho - another stand that has passed the test of time, named after their speciality Vietnamese noodle dish which is a low calorie treat
  • Jerk Junction - the newest permanent vendor cooking up delicious Jamaican food with a slightly modern twist, if you've never had Jamaican you really need to try it

New Member FAQ

Is it OK to come alone or should I bring someone?

It's absolutely fine to come by yourself. This is the case 99% of the time for new members, so there's no need to worry, many other attendees will be in the same boat as you.

Will I fit in?

The only thing that's the consistent about our members is how different they all are! We welcome people from all over the world and from all walks of life. We have many members who are in the LGBT+ community or neurodiverse. As long as you're your kind, friendly self you'll fit right in.

Do I need join the group to attend?

Yes, you must apply to join the group, be approved and RSVP to this event first. Please note, it can sometimes take a few days for your application to be processed, so its best to apply early. If you're still waiting to hear back on the day of the event, apologies but you won't be able to attend this one. Please don't turn up to the event whilst your request is still pending, on Meetup this is considered very intrusive and could lead to a site wide ban, you should only attend if your name is in the Attendees list.

Still want more info about attending the group? I recommend reading our new members guide here. Remember, new members are allowed to come to any event, you just might prefer to come to this one first.
