AI for Non-Profits: Grant Writing and Impact Reports
Non-profit staff spend a large portion of their time writing. Grant proposals, funder reports, program documentation, donor communications. Most of this writing follows predictable structures and pulls from information the organization already has.
AI tools can speed up this work. This session covers how.
The first hour covers three workflows: using AI to draft grant narrative sections from existing program data, using AI to turn case notes and outcome numbers into funder-ready impact reports, and using AI to adapt existing content for different funders without starting from scratch each time.
The last 30 minutes is hands-on practice. Participants work through a real writing task using AI, with facilitated feedback.
No technical background required. Participants should bring a laptop and, if possible, a grant proposal or report they are currently working on.
